About Me

Hi everyone, my name is Coltin. I am a full-time college student living in Oregon, working toward a degree in business administration. One of my biggest goals is to eventually open my own business. Right now, my dream is a plant-themed coffee shop where people can relax, build terrariums, and enjoy good coffee.

I enrolled in BA223 because I know how important it is to actually understand how to connect with people. Marketing is not just about selling a product. It is about telling a story, building trust, and creating a brand that feels real. I want to learn how businesses make those kinds of connections without coming across as fake or forced.

Marketing has always been very interesting to me. I am especially excited to learn more about brand loyalty. I’ve always been interested in how some companies’ attempts to connect with customers just fall flat, and some hit every time. I want to understand better to make sure my own business doesn’t flop.

I’m very passionate about plants, and I can make a mean cup of coffee. I feel like every time I go to the store, I have to drag myself away from any plant or gardening section there. When I’m not working on plants, I like to cook, play games, or watch TV with my wife.

I am excited to be in this class and to learn more about how marketing works.
